SO THAT HAPPENED

So That Happened is the latest collection of poetry featuring 16 of my favorite poems from past and present. Similar to previous poetry e-books, this collection explores the themes of love, lost, and life.

CREATE & CHILL YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Create & Chill YouTube channel was born out of the joy of watching other artists create while working on my own digital artwork. It helped me stay focus on my art and motivated me to keep creating! So, I decided to create this new channel to offer a calm space for creatives intentionally, sharing my creative process with art, crafts, coloring, drawing, and sketches while playing chill music in the background in hopes to provide that same feeling I’ve had while watching others create their works of art whether it was a painting or a meal! To preview my channel, please watch below. To view more videos and subscribe, please go here!

 BLACK MOON

“IN THE YEAR 2020, WE ARE BEARING WITNESS TO OVER 40 MILLION JOBS LOST. OVER 100 THOUSANDS LIVES LOST. A VIRAL AND RACIAL PANDEMIC ACROSS THE GLOBE. FAR BENEATH THE DEVASTATION LIES A TRANSFORMATIONAL FUTURE THAT COULD BE UNFOLDING FASTER THAN WE THINK.

Since the age of ancient Native American tribes, each full moon was an opportunity to set intentions for the next cycle, establish fresh goals, or conduct rituals that wipe the slate clean. Much like the microevolutionary process of our lives, this magical ball of light piercing the night sky is a mother icon of constant change and cyclical patterns.

One of the most powerful celestial phenomenons is the rare Black Moon. A second new moon that occurs within one calendrical month. It is said that the Black Moon amplifies a cleansing energy, dragging our deepest strengths and desires to the forefront, uninhibited. Just like the dark side of the moon, there is a side to each of us that we don’t reveal to others.

Mirroring a lunar experience in contemporary dance form, this book is a collection of inspirational messages and some of the most vulnerable stories revealed by women from around the world.

 2020. This is Black Moon.”

I am grateful to be a featured writer in this Black Moon book. Purchase a copy HERE!

LIFE IN TECHNICOLOR

“LOVE IS A FAMILIAR TERRITORY IF YOU’VE BEEN SEARCHING AND KNOWING ITS RADIANCE. AT TIMES IT TAKES A POET SKILLED IN LANGUAGE TO PUT IT ALL IN PERSPECTIVE FOR THE MILLIONS IN LINE WAITING FOR COMMITMENT AND SECURITY. AS I CONTINUED TO READ, IT STRUCK ME THAT TUNISIA JOLYN NEVER BASHED LOVE, WHETHER IT’S RECEIVED OR TURNED DOWN. HER VERBAL BREAKDOWN OF THE VERB IS FASCINATING.

PERSONALLY, I’VE NEVER READ A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO ALTER YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT LOVE WITHIN FIVE MINUTES OF READING. THIS WEEKEND, MY PLANS ARE TO BOOK A SECOND HOT DATE WITH LIFE IN TECHNICOLOR | VOLUME 1: LOVE.”

— KYMBERLY KEETON, AUTHORPRENEUR, DIGITAL PUBLISHER, ART LIBRARIAN

Love. War. Peace. -- Cliché words flipped and turned on its head for poetry's sake. That's what Life In Technicolor Series: Volumes 1-3 is all about -- making the grandiose topics into bite size moments of introspection. These poetry e-books explore the three topics --love, war and peace--exhaustively, examining the many intricacies on the surface as well as the deep emotions underneath the obvious. “ENJOYED READING NARCISSISM, NOTES & NICETIES. KEEP WRITING!
[YOU] HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL.”

— JOJO, SINGER, SONGWRITER, ACTRESS

In today's age of selfies and selfishness, it only seems fitting to produce a poetry book by me, possibly about me. The Narcissism and Notes Series, featuring Narcissism, Notes & NicetiesNarcissism, Notes & Numinous and Narcissism, Notes & Nothing is a collection of poems that are mainly written in a single moment of my life, reflecting personal thoughts and emotions in that exact time period with some artistic liberties of course. Most of the poems were written in one day and shared with the public just for kicks! So if you are in the mood for random thoughts, mixed feelings and quirky stories, then please read here:

This art exhibition debuted in October 22, 2015 at the Art Corridor (Tarrant County College Southeast) located at Arlington, TX.

Read more about it HERE.

Project Details:

Here is my poem that was featured in this exhibition titled "he":

he

Temporary high I wanted to be

But he felt forced fed by my need.

High I wanted to be

But he felt forced fed by my need.

He said he was allergic to smoke

And he choked right at my feet.

Permanent high I wanted to be

But he did not feel fancy free.

High I wanted to be

But he did not feel fancy free.

He said he was clouded by smoke

And needed fresh air to breathe.

Alternate high I wanted to be

And he inhaled so sweetly.

High I wanted to be

And he inhaled so sweetly.

Until he said he smoked too much

And addiction was no good for me.
